Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using any tool on Toolbox ("the Service", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. User Responsibility for Content

You are solely responsible for any content you upload, share, or transmit through the Service. By uploading a file, you represent and warrant that:

• You own the content or have the legal right to share it.
• The content does not infringe the copyright, trademark, patent, or other intellectual property rights of any third party.
• The content is not pirated software, movies, music, e-books, or any other copyrighted material distributed without authorisation.
• The content does not violate any applicable law or regulation.

We do not review uploaded files and take no responsibility for user-uploaded content. Any legal liability arising from uploaded content rests entirely with the uploader.

3. Prohibited Content and Uses

You may not use the Service to upload, store, share, or transmit:

• Pirated or unlicensed copyrighted material (movies, music, software, e-books, games, etc.).
• Content that infringes any third-party intellectual property rights.
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexual content involving minors.
• Malware, ransomware, spyware, viruses, or any malicious code.
• Content that facilitates illegal activity, including hacking tools or stolen credentials.
• Private personal data of others without their consent.
• Spam or bulk unsolicited content.

Violations may result in immediate removal of content and reporting to relevant authorities.

4. DMCA Safe Harbour and Copyright Takedowns

Toolbox operates as an online service provider under 17 U.S.C. § 512 (the DMCA safe-harbour provisions) and equivalent international legislation. This means:

• We are not liable for infringing content uploaded by users, provided we act expeditiously to remove it upon receiving a valid takedown notice.
• We do not pre-screen or monitor uploaded files for copyright compliance.
• We have adopted and reasonably implemented a repeat-infringer termination policy.
• We do not interfere with standard technical measures used by copyright owners to identify or protect their works.

We will promptly remove content upon receipt of a valid takedown notice. To submit a request, see our DMCA Policy.

Fair use is a valid defence. Not all use of copyrighted material is infringing — commentary, criticism, parody, education, and news reporting may qualify as fair use or fair dealing. If your content was removed and you believe your use is protected, you may file a counter-notice. See the counter-notice procedure in our DMCA Policy.

5. File Storage and Availability

Files uploaded to the File Sender tool are stored temporarily and deleted automatically after the selected expiry period (1 day, 7 days, or 30 days). We do not guarantee long-term availability of any uploaded file and are not liable for data loss. Do not use the Service as a permanent backup solution.

6. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Most of our tools process data entirely in your browser. File Sender stores files on Cloudflare R2 infrastructure solely to provide the sharing service.

7. Service Availability

We provide the Service "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Toolbox and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or claims by third parties relating to content you upload.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
